I’m Ann. I’m a longtime Texas Hill Country local, and until not too long ago, I had never held a pickleball paddle in my life.

That changed when a new facility opened up nearby. A friend dragged me out, I played one game, and that was basically it for my free time. If you’ve found your way here, I suspect you know exactly what I mean.

I started this site because I couldn’t find a single place online that felt like it was written for someone like me — a beginner in the Texas Hill Country who just wanted to know where to play, what gear to buy, and what on earth a “kitchen violation” was. So I built it.

Pickleball Is All is part personal journal, part community bulletin. I write about the courts I’m discovering, the gear I’m trying out, and the people and events that make this sport so addictive. I also curate submissions from venues, clubs, and players across the region. Think of it as a local newsletter written by someone who actually plays here.

I’m not an expert. I’m a beginner who pays attention and loves this community. Everything I share is firsthand, honest, and written with fellow Hill Country players in mind.
