Paddles
Vatic Pro Prism Bloom — Editor’s Pick for Beginners
This is the paddle I started with and it’s held up great. It feels comfortable in the hand, it’s not too heavy, and it plays better than something at this price point has any right to. If you’re just getting started and don’t want to drop serious money before you’re sure pickleball is your thing, this is a really solid choice. Around $90 and more than does the job until you’re ready to invest more.
More Gear Coming
This page grows as the community contributes. Balls, shoes, bags, and more will be added as players share what’s working for them on Hill Country courts. Check back regularly and drop your own recommendations in the comments below.
